Launching my very own publishing company has always been my dream. I love to write, it's my passion.
I'm a stay at home mom to a beautiful one year old girl. Her name is Sophie and she's the highlight of my life.
I'm also a full time Web/Graphic designer, taking on projects that will not only boost my skills and portfolio, but also help fund this project. Currently, I have some money saved up for the launch of Blue Dusk Publishing in March 2016, but I'm short $600.00.
Once I gave birth to her in January 2015, I spent 90% of my time at home. I worked only part time from home, taking small design projects, but I also never gave up writing. Whenever I got a moment to myself, or I felt frustrated (Sophie had colic and cried day and night for the first six months), I would open my laptop, put on my headphones, and escape to the world of fiction.
In December, I decided out curiosity, I would open my documents folder, just to see how many unpublished stories I had written over the course of the year. Gasping as I counted the total, I had written 78 short stories, ranging from 10,000-20,000 words each.
This was also the same day I formed Blue Dusk Publishing, and set a goal launch date of March 2016. With two hard working siblings who are English majors, we are teaming up to get these books properly edited and ready for publishing.
Since I specialize in Web/Graphic design, Designing social media graphics, Book Covers, Banners, and Coding a Website, and formatting each book for eBook publishing and Print will be a breeze.
What genres are the stories? All 78 of the short stories are in the fiction genre. Here are the sub genres:
Adult Romance
Paranormal Romance
Teen Paranormal Romance
Teen Romance
Mystery
All stories will be published under different pen names and each pen name will be branded towards one or two of the 5 genres.
Here is the plan.

The Scent:
Jenny Leery lives and runs a small handmade shop in Milford, Michigan. It's a small town and 90% of the residents have resided there since before Jenny was born. This is her home town, and she plans to spend the rest of her life Milford.
Thankfully, when a major corporation comes in and takes over the abandoned factories in town, Jenny finds hope that Milford will survive their current economic position. There's only one problem; the corporation has brought in new townsfolk, but they only operate during the night hours.
Jenny finds this strange, but thinks nothing too far out of the ordinary. That is, until she meets Brandon, a very handsome stranger that walks into her shop. Jenny seems to have the scent he's been searching for, and Brandon plans to turn Jenny's world upside down.
Bluff:
Blair finally gets the invitation she's been waiting for; an invite to pledge with Gamma Nu sorority. She's been dying to become a sister there, finishing off where her mother started. When she's introduced to Zoe, a good friend of her mother and also a member of Gama Nu, the two become close friends.
That is until it's time to pledge.
As Blair and Zoe's friendship grew, the other pledges began to resent Blair. They will do anything to make Blair's life just as uncomfortable, even if that means the girls have to call her bluff.
When Jason Cummings, the most coveted bachelor on campus and Blair's crush since high school somehow becomes apart of the hazing, Blair wonders if she'll ever have a chance at winning his heart.
