backHer Supports Women-Led Projects
We welcome projects of all types. Whether you are a woman starting a business or a group of people seeking backing for a film or performance, we want you to be successful. backHer can be used for profit and non-profit endeavors.
Use the Browse tab at the top of backHer’s Website to see the many categories we support.
In order to post a for-profit project on backHer, there must be at least one woman in a lead role within the project or organization. This requirement does not apply to non-profit projects.
Planning for Success with backHer
Successful projects start with careful planning. backHer has put together great Tips for a Successful Campaign so be sure review these as you plan.
backHer funds are deposited into a designated Stripe account each time someone contributes to your project. If you don’t have a Stripe account, you need to establish one before you create your project on backHer. Don’t worry opening a Stripe account is quick and easy and can be done right from your project dashboard.
There is no fee for listing your project on backHer. A 5% fee is deducted only when you receive a donation. Be sure to budget for this fee and Stripe fees when you are determining your project budget. Check our FAQ page for a list of current currencies accepted.
